KB0098: How do I delete a project file?

There are several ways to delete a project file in Jutoh:

  1. You can close the project, and create a new one. If the new one has the same name as the old one, you will be asked whether you want to replace the original file.

  2. Or, click on Favourites in the Organizer, select a file, click More, click Remove Favourite, then confirm Yes when asked to delete it from your disk.

  3. Or, in the Explorer tab next to it, click Delete and click Yes when prompted.

  4. Or, you can delete projects using your operating system's file manager, such as File Explorer on Windows, and Finder on Mac, after you have closed the Jutoh project (or quit Jutoh).

  5. An alternative to deleting an old project and starting again is to reimport the same word processor file into the existing project using the Reimport Project command on the File menu.

If you try to open a deleted file from recent files (in the welcome screen, or File menu) Jutoh will show an error message, but when you restart Jutoh these redundant items will no longer be shown. Also, you can clear the recent items history by clicking on Options in the toolbar, then Privacy, and checking Clear file history and Clear Favourites. Click Clear Now to remove them. This only clears the history, and does not delete any actual files.
