If you try to upload your ebook to Amazon KDP and get a message to the effect that the format is not supported, don't assume that Amazon has given up on the .mobi format or that Jutoh doesn't support Amazon KDP.
Instead, it's probable that you have accidentally tried to upload the Jutoh project file instead of the .mobi file. If you are using Windows, it may be hiding your file extensions and making it harder to see which file is which. In a File Explorer window, you can edit folder properties and in the View tab, clear "Hide extensions for known file types".
If KDP still gives an error, then there will be a temporary glitch in the KDP site - wait a while and try submitting later.
If Amazon technical support appear to be insisting that Mobipocket is not supported, they are actually referring to files created with the obsolete software Mobipocket Creator. That is not at all the same thing as files created with Jutoh, which uses the Amazon-supplied Kindlegen application during the final .mobi file creation phase.
