For some viewers, you can prevent a heading being orphaned from the following text by a page break, using two methods:
Edit the heading paragraph style(s) and check Avoid page break after paragraph in the Indents & Spacing tab.
In your configuration(s), edit the option Styles suppressing page break after and adding one or more patterns separated by the pipe (|) character. For example, "Heading*|Chapter*".
Unfortunately this not supported by Kindle or Apple Books as they do not support the CSS attributes page-break-before and page-break-after. In theory you can work around it by using a box as described in How do I keep a caption on the same page as its image? but it would be tedious to have to add a box for each heading and subsequent paragraph, so for now there isn't a good workaround.
