When you preview your fixed layout book containing text boxes, for example in Adobe Digital Editions or Kindle Previewer 3, you may find that text shows at a different size and doesn't fit.
This can be due to various things, including imprecision when converting fonts (stored internally in points) to pixels, and the fact that the font on the device differs from the font used when editing.
Here are some things you can do:
Ensure your configuration is set to use pixels for text size, by editing the configuration option Font size units.
Set a scaling factor for point size, by editing the configuration option Font pixel scale and setting it to, say, 0.85. Note that this will only take effect if your Font size units is set to Px.
If you are using em units for text in Font size units (for example, to make region magnification work properly on Kindle), then you can adjust the text size by going to the Options page in the Project Properties dialog, and setting the Custom DPI for conversions value.
Embed your font(s) so that there will be less disparity between what you see in Jutoh and what is displayed in an ebook reader.
Tell Jutoh to pre-render the text into the background image, by setting the configuration option Pre-render objects to Always. Note that this will disable region magnification (pop-up magnified regions) and the text quality won't be quite as good as using 'real' text. However, you can be sure that the page will be shown as per the editor.
