You may find on macOS that your generated ebook files are mysteriously renamed with numerical suffixes. Jutoh may then be unable to launch the associated viewer for the file it thought it just generated, since the file was renamed by the operating system.
This seems to be a quirk of iCloud, perhaps when it tries to resolve differing versions of files. Try moving your project files outside of your iCloud drive if the problem persists.
