After a Jutoh or Windows update, you may start getting error messages such as these:
can't open file C:\Users\Fred Bloggs\Documents\Jutoh Documents\My Book.epub (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.)
pxProjectSQLStorage::SaveMetaData - SQLITE_CANTOPEN[14]: unable to open database file
pxObjectStore::InsertRow - out of memory
This may be because Windows Defender, Bitdefender or other anti-virus software is blocking file access to particular folders.
For instructions on editing Windows Defender settings to enable file access, see here. If you have problems, try disabling controlled folders and other features until Jutoh works again, and then enable one feature at a time.
Similarly, if you have Bitdefender or other anti-virus software, please do a web search for how to disable folder protection ("File Safe" for Bitdefender) or add Jutoh as an exception.
Alternatively, edit Jutoh's preferences so it doesn't use the standard Documents folder to store new files:
Click Options on the Jutoh toolbar.
In the General page, find the Documents field and change it to a different folder, such as c:\JutohDocuments.
