You may wish to send your Kindle files to other people, perhaps for early reviews.
You can email .mobi files to recipients, or add the files to your web site for people to download.
If people have the Kindle app on their phone or computer, then they can email a .mobi file back to their own device using their unique Kindle device, app or Kindle for PC/Mac email address. So even if you don't know their device's email address, you can provide instructions for them to send the file to their preferred device.
Note that after sending to Kindle, the cover thumbnail won't appear on the Kindle app or device as per officially-purchased books - it's an Amazon quirk that such files are treated as documents, and don't have cover images when viewed in the library. However, the cover will be present when opening the Kindle file, if you've included one.
The above presupposes that the recipients either have the Kindle app or device, or that they would be motivated to install the app and email themselves the book in order to read it. Perhaps it would be better to send them two files - the .mobi file, and a .pdf file. Most people can already read PDF files on their computer, phone or tablet.
To create a PDF via Jutoh, choose the OpenDocument configuration and click Compile. Launch the ODT file in LibreOffice, which you can download for free, and use the command File | Export to PDF from LibreOffice. More on creating PDFs can be found in the Jutoh help if you type "pdf" in the Jutoh toolbar.
